About Serene Prairie K9
Founded in 2015, Serene Prairie K9 is built on a lifelong passion that spans more than 33 years and multiple generations of raising, training, showing, and preserving purebred dogs. Dogs have always been more than a hobby—they are a family legacy.
Before becoming Serene Prairie K9, we were proudly known as ShowTime K9 from 2004 to 2015. During those years, we built a reputation for professional boarding, training, handling, whelping services, and producing quality purebred dogs. ShowTime K9 laid the foundation for the program we continue to build today.
In 2015, after the passing of my grandfather, Bill, our family entered a new chapter. We relocated to our current property and established Serene Prairie K9. While our name and location changed, our commitment to excellence, responsible breeding, and the dogs we love never did.
As our program evolved, so did our mission. Today, we no longer offer professional handling services. Instead, we are passionate about helping owners achieve success with their own dogs. Through education, coaching, and hands-on instruction, we teach owners how to confidently present, train, and compete with their dogs while strengthening the bond they share.
Our breeding program is centered on one philosophy:
Quality should never be compromised, and health should always come first.
Every breeding decision is carefully planned with the goal of producing dogs that excel in health, structure, temperament, and breed type. We believe responsible breeding means improving each generation while preserving the characteristics that make every breed exceptional.
Our dogs are proven in the show ring, and we have proudly finished multiple AKC Champions, Grand Champions, and award-winning dogs while continuing to compete at the highest levels. Showing isn’t about ribbons alone—it’s an independent evaluation that helps ensure our breeding program remains true to each breed’s standard and demonstrates the quality behind every planned breeding.
